As of 5:22 p.m. on August 29, the primary SCE transmission lines serving Big Bear Valley from Lucerne Valley met SCE’s criteria for possible de-energization within the next four hours.

A shutoff has not been confirmed. If SCE de-energizes these lines, BVES will have very limited capacity, and some or all customers may experience an outage. Customers should prepare for the possibility of an extended outage and continue monitoring BVES updates.
