Update: SCE has advised a shut-off is likely through 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1. No shutoff has been confirmed as of 3:45 p.m. Sept. 1.

The primary SCE transmission lines serving Big Bear Valley from Lucerne Valley continue to meet SCE's criteria for possible Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). The period of concern runs through Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m.

As of Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 8:45 a.m., no shutoff has been confirmed. However, if SCE does de-energize these lines, BVES will have very limited capacity, and some or all customers may experience an outage. Updates will be provided as they are received.
